Real Estate Fraud

“Real estate fraud” is a general term that comprises basically two types of fraud involving real estate transactions: common law fraud and statutory fraud. The Texas Business & Commerce Code § 27.01, et. seq., provides persons harmed by in a real estate transaction with a number of remedies not provided by the common law. For example, a successful claimant may be able to recover his or her attorney’s fees and expert witness fees.
